Welcome to Mumubears! We are a small, one-woman studio based in Geelong, Victoria. Every Mumubear is packed with love and dispatched using trusted carriers to ensure your new friends arrive safely at their new homes!

⏳ Processing Time

Because our items are carefully handmade, please allow time for us to prepare your order before it hits the road:

  • Ready-to-Ship Items: Dispatched within 3 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Made-to-Order / Backorders: Please allow 7–14 business days (1–2 weeks) for creation time. (Please note that during busy holiday seasons like Christmas, crafting times may take a little longer).

🇦🇺 Australian Shipping

We keep our domestic shipping simple and reliable! We partner exclusively with Australia Post to get your new friends to you safe and sound.

  • Cost: FREE Australia-wide Tracked Shipping on all orders! What you see is what you pay-no hidden fees at checkout.

  • Delivery Estimates: Generally 2–8 business days, depending on your state and regional location.

  • Tracking: Full tracking included! You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your parcel is scanned and on its way.

🇳🇿 New Zealand Shipping

Yes, we ship to New Zealand! We expand our services via Australia Post and international postal networks to ensure safe delivery across the Tasman.

  • Cost: Flat rate standard shipping of $38 AUD per order.

  • Delivery Estimates: Generally 10–25 business days, depending on customs processing.

  • ⚠️ Customs & Duties: New Zealand buyers are solely responsible for any import taxes, GST, or customs duties required upon arrival. Mumubears is not responsible for unexpected delays caused by customs processing.

🇺🇸🇨🇦 USA & Canada Shipping

We love sending our handmade creations across the Pacific! All parcels are shipped via Australia Post International Standard (tracked).

  • Cost: Flat rate standard shipping of $38 AUD per order.

  • Delivery Estimates: Generally 6–12 business days.

  • ⚠️ Customs & Import Taxes: Orders sent to the USA under $800 USD are typically duty-free. However, for Canada or larger orders, buyers are responsible for any local taxes, customs, or import duties that may apply upon arrival.

🇬🇧🇪🇺 UK & Europe Shipping

We ship to the United Kingdom and selected European countries via Australia Post International Standard with full tracking.

  • Cost: Flat rate standard shipping of $38 AUD per order.

  • Delivery Estimates: Generally 8–15 business days, depending on your local postal network and customs clearance.

  • ⚠️ VAT, Customs & Taxes (DDU): Orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). Buyers are strictly responsible for any local VAT, import duties, customs fees, or postal handling fees levied by your country upon arrival. Mumubears cannot calculate or pre-collect these fees at checkout.

  • Delivery: Once payment is completed, your PDF pattern(s) will be available for instant download on the confirmation page and sent directly to your email inbox. No physical items will be shipped for pattern-only purchases.

💔 Returns & Refunds

We want you to absolutely adore your new friend! However, as a small handmade business, we have specific policies in place to protect our time and craft.

  • Change of Mind: Due to the custom, handmade nature of our items, we do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind. Please read the product descriptions, materials, and size details carefully before adopting! If you are unsure about a color or size, feel free to email us for more photos before making your purchase.

  • Damaged or Faulty Items: While we pack every order securely, we understand that accidents in transit can happen. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please email us at hello@mumubears.com within 48 hours of delivery. Please include your Order Number and clear photos of the damage. We will assess the issue and happily arrange a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

  • Lost Packages: All our parcels include tracking. Once a parcel leaves our studio and is scanned by Australia Post, Mumubears is not legally responsible for transit delays or lost items. However, we love our bears and want them safe! If your parcel goes missing, please contact us immediately, and we will help you lodge an official investigation with the courier to track it down.

📝 Important Notes

  • Address Accuracy: Please double-check your shipping address at checkout! We cannot redirect parcels once they have been dispatched. If a parcel is returned to our studio due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the buyer, the buyer will be responsible for the re-shipping fee.

  • Uncollected Parcels: If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected from your local post office or customs fees were refused, any re-shipping cost will be the buyer's responsibility. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
